Thanks so much to everyone who joined us during this delightful event.
We hope you enjoyed this city-wide festival for knitting and crochet, and we'll see you again next year!
It is a three-day event where fiber lovers visit New York City's finest local yarn shops to celebrate our love of the fiber arts. Learn about the latest yarns and fibers; meet fellow knitters, crocheters, weavers, spinners and yarnistas; discover new patterns, tools and accessories; and of course win amazing prizes from wonderful sponsors.
There is no charge to crawl, and there is no pre-registration necessary. You just show up and visit the shops - plan your own route and make your own adventure!
Participants have multiple chances to win prizes, including this lovely Lantern Moon basket filled to the brim with yarn, needles, and sundry other goodies.
Each of the stores carries different types and brands of yarn, and it can be a great opportunity to learn who stocks a unique line, such as Quince & Co. at Argyle, or a hard-to-find material for when you're planning your next projects.
Tonight's guest was Trisha Malcolm, Editorial Director of Vogue Knitting, and she provided us with a fashion show from Vogue's latest issue.
Esther was recruited to model some garments from the magazine, including this amazing Segmented Shawl by talented local designer Michael Dworjan.
All in all it was an exciting way to welcome fall!
