As you may know, Argyle Yarn Shop is the New York City flagship store for the incredible company Quince & Co. Quince produces ethically-sourced, American made yarn, dyed in a historic textile mill just up in Maine. Their soft, muted, sophisticated color palette has been compared to "vintage painted photographs."
Well, one of the greats in their small army of talented designers is Hannah Fettig, who also goes by the nom de knit, "Knitbot."
For a lot of us, October is the month when knitting season kicks into high gear––a busy and joyous occasion, but also one that entails a good deal of preparation. Quince & Co. is taking the opportunity of this time of year to introduce folks to the remarkable designs of Hannah Fettig's Knitbot patterns.

Quince & Co. Knit-along
Head on over to Quince's Ravelry group for their Knitbot KAL starting today. Pick a Knitbot pattern, treat yourself to some Quince & Co. yarn, and get knitting. They, and we, would love to see what you’re up to! The folks at Quince will be knitting along with you and will also be on hand to answer questions if you need help with your projects (or provide suggestions and moral support). Once the KAL is over they’ll be drawing winners from participants who have crossed the finish line and posted photos of their newly completed projects. Winners receive a gift certificate to Quince's store (translation: free yarn!).
To qualify: this month, any Knitbot pattern applies—from simple 70 yard mitts, to your umpteenth Featherweight, to a cheerful colorwork project like Birdie Fair Isle. Go as big or as little, as simple or as challenging, as you like. Cast on any day in October. It's up to you! Everyone is welcome to participate in the KAL no matter which yarn you choose, but only projects worked in a Quince yarn will be eligible to win.
If you want to show off your WIP photos outside of the Rav group, make sure to use #quincekal on Instagram and Twitter. They may even regram/retweet your beautiful work!
The Knitbot KAL will be going now through October 31st (Happy Halloween!) , and they’ll announce the winners of their GCs the week after. See the rules at the top of the KAL threads for complete details. Have fun!

Knitbot Blog Posts
Hannah will be stopping by the Quince blog for a series of guests posts, and we'll be linking to them. Check out her first post from Sunday, October 4th, in which she discusses how to design for "two camps of knitters: Those who prefer the ease of seamless, and those who prefer the added structure of seams. Wouldn’t it be great to please both parties?"
