Mykonos, by Berroco
We're officially kicking off spring knitting (on the coldest day of the year!)
If you've already caught spring fever and are thinking of looking forward to perfect warm weather knits, we at Argyle are just now putting the finishing touches to them on our shelves.
First up, Mykonos.
Mykonos is a silky blend of linen, cotton, and nylon that knits and crochets beautifully, creating fabrics with amazing drape.

First up, Mykonos.

Made in Italy, this cool to the touch Dk-weight yarn from Berroco is named after the Greek "Island of Winds" in the Aegean Sea. In keeping, the colors are named after Greek gods such as Poseidon and Artemis.
Even the patterns the talented Berroco team has recently designed inspired by this new yarn maintain the sun-drenched Aegean theme:
Above, we have an A-line cardigan with a raglan yoke, a feminine crocheted lace shawl, a classic, boat neck tee worked in striped garter stitch, and an eyelet lace scarf.
Below is an all dressed up t-shirt, a garter stitch tunic, and Xenia, a simple lace shawl worked from the point up.

In fact, at Argyle we've got our own version of the Xenia shawl on display, so you can see for yourself what Mykonos can do. Here it is, in all its glory:
This is a perfect example of why, if you really do enjoy knitting, there's no need to limit yourself to hats and scarves. The same pride we all feel in our skill at making things by hand is a perennial sense of satisfaction. Plus, now that the holidays are over, you have all the time in the world to treat yourself to something beautiful made with love . . . for you!
Is that so crazy?
