Melted Baby Suri has arrived!
Melted Baby Suri has arrived!
We're so excited to get our hands on these gorgeous skeins from Qing Fibre! The Melted Baby Suri truly is unique. It has a delicious fluffiness and a full body softness that creates a delicate halo and is luxurious to the touch. Layla Qing's color combinations are remarkable and inspiring. Surprising pairings of pinks, greens, and grays together run the palette from a chalky desert landscape to the lushness of Monet's water lilies. Kate's diving in, pairing together transitions for your consideration. Above is Narwhal, Cha Cha, Meadow, and Berry Milkshake. Below is Shusui, Lost Wind, Sage, and Siren. The Melted Baby Suri is made of 65% baby suri alpaca, 20% merino wool, and 15% silk. The suri is a rare breed of alpaca with an especially lustrous coat. Only about 4% of alpacas in the world are suris. Check out this lineup below: Sea Breeze, Slate, Sponge, Okinami. Silky Merino Singles are back! Plus, the vivid and vivacious colors of Silky Merino Singles have returned! Silky Merino Singles are a light fingering weight yarn. With 30% silk, the colours show up clear and vibrant on this silky merino blend base! With a very soft and smooth texture, this drapey yarn is suitable for any pattern and stitch, but with just a little more to it - to make your creations extra special. Raised in Beijing surrounded by traditional folk crafts, she now resides in London where she combines unexpected colors from ethically sourced Peruvian wool and cashmere. From spirited, animated brights to the intriguing darkest shades, she hopes to inspire people with her love of color. Come see what the buzz is about for yourself! A darling of designers. . . Wondering what to make with these lovelies? Check out these patterns designed specifically for Qing Fibre's Melted Baby Suri! First up is Stephen West: Here's the famous Texture Time. We're never going to tease anyone for plotting their color combos very seriously: After all, look at what a totally different character each of these three different versions of Melted Baby Suri has! And below is his "Melted Mirage." For this one, pair the Melted Baby Suri with the Silky Merino Singles. Another showstopper that uses both these Qing Fibre yarns is Stephen's "Suriously Holey." Here it is in Sea Breeze and Okinami. (Kate is knitting this pattern right now!) And on the right is the Suriously Holey in Soft Grey and Hurricane. Next up is Lavanya Patricella with "My Chrysalis Shawl," a fluffy colorful shawl inspired by the beautiful shape and color of a monarch chrysalis. That gorgeous seafoam color she chose for her Melted Baby Suri (and eye shadow!) is Shusui. Check out all our colors of Melted Baby Suri right here! | Check out Qing Fibre Melted Baby Suri!
