Each of the colors are named after a different neighborhood in Baltimore and in their former home in D.C. They even have a collection of colors named after Baltimore artists!
As Karida puts it: "I think that people don't necessarily associate cities with beauty and bright colors. You think of gray tall buildings, sidewalks and streets. And I wanted to really highlight the beauty that you can find in a city, in an urban environment, by naming all of these bright, vibrant colors after neighborhoods."

We are introducing four different lines from Neighborhood Fiber Co.:
Studio Sock: With 8 plies - 4 sets of 2-ply- Studio Sock is strong AND lusciously soft. Studio Sock is an incredible superwash merino wool yarn that is both springy and smooth, which makes it perfect for garments of all types!
Studio DK: Neighborhood's springy DK weight 3-ply superwash merino is a perfect workhorse yarn for everything from garments to accessories!
Studio Sock: With 8 plies - 4 sets of 2-ply- Studio Sock is strong AND lusciously soft. Studio Sock is an incredible superwash merino wool yarn that is both springy and smooth, which makes it perfect for garments of all types!

Wound up into big 400 yard skeins, Studio Worsted is a luscious 4-ply superwash merino wool to increase durability and lessen pilling.
Loft: The softest kid mohair covers a silk core to create a wispy and light laceweight yarn. Though it is lace weight, the yarn knits comfortably on larger needles or acts as the perfect accent when held with a heavier yarn.
